Zakros InterArts, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is launching an initiative to give tax breaks to artists. Not as charity. Not as favor. But as an act of economic resistance. Artists who contribute work to Bunker Fridays — video, sound, media interventions, performance — will receive official donation acknowledgments for the fair market value of their work, which can be deducted from their taxable income.
