From the White House to Capitol Hill, all up and down Pennsylvania Avenue, Republicans and Democrats continue to upstage one another as Bush vetoes the Iraq spending bill:
“It’s a trumped-up political stunt.. We’ve got the lights, we’ve got the characters, we’ve got the action for some fine political theater in the House of Representatives today… It’s time for the majority to take off their costumes and exit stage left. We owe it to our nation and our troops to see the ending of this story.” – George W. Bush
The drama will only end when nighttime returns across a desolate, war-torn, scorched Earth, and all the players have gone home to their final resting place…
