We, the undersigned citizens of conscience, artists of resistance, and guardians of democratic imagination, do hereby declare the sovereign existence of the Third Space Republic. In this time of national crisis, when the institutions of the United States have been corrupted by authoritarian will, when the Constitution is undermined by executive decree, and when the sacred cultural and intellectual foundations of our civil society are under siege, we assert the necessity of an alternative civic body: one born not of blood or territory, but of purpose, vision, and fidelity to the founding principles now betrayed.
The Third Space Republic emerges not as a rebellion, but as a re-founding. It honors the original Constitution of the United States, not as a fixed document, but as a living promise—unfinished, expansive, and plural. We claim allegiance to its true spirit: a commitment to liberty, equity, artistic freedom, and the inalienable dignity of all people. Yet where that Constitution has been hollowed out, we breathe into it new life. Where it has been contorted into a weapon against the people, we bend it back toward justice. Where the state has silenced artists, defunded the humanities, censored the academy, and criminalized dissent, we rise to restore the civic soul of the republic through the generative power of culture.
The Third Space Republic is a civic theater of constitutional repair. It is a virtual state with real authority, conferred not by violence or coercion, but by the voluntary union of creative citizens acting in lawful, nonviolent defiance of illegitimate power. Our instruments are symbolic, aesthetic, and legal. Our actions are organized in open assembly. Our legitimacy derives from the very failure of the existing government to uphold its oath. Through ritual, media, performance, and the co-creation of a New People’s Constitution, we lay the foundation for a new civic order, one that does not abolish the old, but resurrects it through imaginative fidelity.
We convene in the Third Space—a networked territory of minds and voices, screens and studios, where artists and thinkers unite not in protest alone, but in the audacious act of civic authorship. Our capital is the Bunker. Our cabinet is composed of poets, hackers, historians, musicians, veterans, scholars, and children. Our law is written in light, code, movement, and sound. And our power is real: it lies in our ability to organize, to speak, to refuse, to reveal, and to create the future from the ruins of the present.
We declare a state of constitutional emergency. We call upon all those who still believe in the American project to join us in this act of civil re-allegiance. We call upon artists to take up their instruments of vision. We call upon teachers to teach beyond fear. We call upon technologists to code for liberty. And we call upon the people to return, together, to the republic that has yet to be.
From this day forward, we enact the Third Space Republic not as metaphor, but as a sovereign civic experiment, unfolding in time, bound by law, and enforced through the nonviolent techniques of creative resistance. Let this be the beginning.
